Video Game Design: Ethical design for healthy game engagement

Kieran’s dissertation is about the design surrounding video gaming addiction, as well as a study of the problems that video gaming addiction causes. Video gaming addiction isn’t sudden and it happens gradually depending on the design of the game played. The project is a game that is based on the popular mobile game ‘Stack’. Two templates were created with the aim to create a proof of concept of a design that could manage and reduce addictive tendencies, in order to form healthy game engagement.
