Brendan identified an opportunity to design an outdoor public space with the aim of reducing the sea pollution problem. The design is divided into five different areas which are all implemented to attract people while inspiring them to recycle plastic, thus reducing pollution. The areas that make up the whole design are the relaxing area, the recycling structure, the eating zone, the children’s area, and a passageway that allows users to pass along the promenade. One of the main elements used to inspire users was recycled plastic as a finishing material.
