Marija seeks to enhance user spaces and expand her skills in all phases of the design process. Her project implements a design process that reflects sensitivity by introducing the design of a counselling centre for persons undergoing palliative care. Several design initiatives for healing environments were applied to achieve an innovatively designed counselling centre. The design initiatives include an effective interior layout design, and the incorporation of soft lighting, neutral colour schemes, homely furnishings and natural elements.
