Throughout her work Giada desires to implement the concept of integrating Maltese heritage through contemporary spaces. Her project aims to establish a memorial garden and provide an additional burial option locally. This will help reduce the overcrowding of cemeteries and make visits to cemeteries more worthwhile. Through the study of thanatology, a variety of principles were applied to aid the individual on his journey of grief. The project features an amalgamation of local materials such as limestone presented in a simplistic design, whilst creating a holistic environment.
