‘Ħarsa Femminili’ is a reflection of the current fashion industry, with the aim of celebrating what social constructs classify as flaws. The people featured consist of everyday women who do not necessarily fit the conventional beauty standards seen in the media. According to Jean Baudrillard, a French Sociologist, since 1983 even female body parts such as hands have been sexualised in advertising. This body of work aims to explore the different body parts and flaws of women that do not fit these conventional beauty standards.
