Alicia’s collection is called ‘Solastalgia’ to express the nostalgia of nature being affected by the changing environment due to climate change. It was inspired by research about harsh chemical dyes that are polluting the environment and waterways, eventually harming the population. Alicia wants to make a statement as well as a contribution, so she utilised naturally dyed silk and eco-prints for her collection. Her aim is to contribute to sustainable fashion practices in the industry. Her collection is sustained by a study within her dissertation.
